Adar Poonawalla is saving lives one vaccine dose at a time. The CEO of the Serum Institute of India has big expansion plans for the world’s biggest vaccine maker. Building on lessons learned from the Covid pandemic and fast-tracking the Covishield shot, Serum is expanding and investing in new treatments for malaria and cervical cancer. It’s the latest stage in a journey that began with the family stud farm and a passion for horse racing, with serum from horse blood used to develop treatments. In this latest episode of Latitude, Poonawalla hits back at the vaccine skeptics reveals how he plans to address some of India’s biggest challenges. He speaks to Bloomberg TV's Haslinda Amin.
